SplitSense ("we", "us") is a web-based bill-splitting tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Receipt images you upload. Used solely to extract items, totals and currency so we can split the bill.
- Basic usage data. Anonymous analytics (page views, language, device type) to improve the product.
- Messages you send us. If you use in-app chat or contact us by email, we keep your message to respond.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't require an account to split a bill.
- We don't store payment credentials. Venmo and Cash App buttons open their respective apps; payments happen there.
Third-party services
We use trusted providers to host the app, run AI item detection, and measure traffic. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing us. Since most usage is anonymous, there is typically nothing to delete.
